Named the Kia Tasman, this new vehicle is set to make its debut in 2025 and will gradually roll out worldwide, targeting specific markets, such as: Australia, Middle East, Africa, and Korea. Sadly, Kia has made no mention of the Tasman’s arrival (if any) to the United States, at least not at the moment.

The name Tasman was chosen after careful consideration from a selection of names gathered from Kia’s global markets, with its initial proposal originating from Kia Australia. Ultimately selected for its association with Tasmania, the island situated at Australia’s southernmost point renowned as the ‘island of inspiration,’ the name Tasman embodies a sense of adventure. It aptly captures the rugged essence and capabilities of Kia’s forthcoming pickup truck.

The influence from Australia didn’t cease with the name selection. Kia also unveiled a camouflage wrap for the Kia Tasman inspired by the diverse landscapes of Australia. Drawing from the untamed beauty of the country’s various terrains, the distinctive graphics depict a journey of inspiration experienced while traveling along the coastlines and through the outback.
