Thunder Fans Can Now Showcase Their Team Spirit Inside Their Kia Vehicle with New Display Themes Options

Kia is enhancing its partnership with the NBA by introducing a new way for basketball fans to express themselves. Starting April 8, owners of the 2024 Kia EV9 can customize their vehicle’s display with NBA team themes, just in time for the playoffs beginning April 20, 2024. Each of the NBA’s 30 teams is represented with unique colors and logos on the driver-facing instrument cluster. These themes can be purchased for $39.99 per team through the Kia Connect Store, accessible via the Kia Access app or Kia Owner Portal.

In Oklahoma, passionate supporters of the Oklahoma City Thunder can now exhibit their favorite team by customizing their vehicle’s instrument cluster and infotainment screens. Additionally, select EV9 trims offer exclusive welcome and goodbye sounds tailored for Thunder fans. This personalized touch celebrates the vibrant spirit of basketball enthusiasts in Oklahoma, further strengthening the bond between the team and its dedicated local community.

As the first Kia to unlock the ability to remotely upgrade performance, entertainment, and more with OTA capability, the 2024 EV9 takes the lead by introducing NBA display themes before extending them to other Kia models equipped with the advanced ccNC infotainment system. In the coming days, additional Kia vehicles equipped with the cutting-edge Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment system and Digital Features and Services OTA capability will gain access to these NBA themes. Kia is promising more exciting themes, collaborations, and digital features to be introduced in the future.
