Kia EV9 Wins North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) Award

The North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) jury has honored the all-electric Kia EV9 3-row SUV with the title of North American Utility Vehicle of the Year™. This marks the third time in the past five years that a Kia vehicle has secured the top spot in this category, with the second victory specifically for a Kia electric vehicle (EV).

The EV9 was chosen by a panel of 50 automotive experts spanning print, online, radio, and broadcast media. The EV9 was recognized for value, user experience, driver satisfaction, technology, performance, safety features, design, and automotive innovation. Earning the NACTOY accolade underscores the EV9’s standing not only as a premier utility vehicle but also as an outstanding example of electric vehicle excellence.

The all-new Kia EV9 signifies the first mass-market three row EV SUV in the U.S. Boasting genuine SUV credentials, it provides a substantial 7.8 inches of ground clearance, an impressive maximum cargo capacity of up to 81.9 cu.-ft. with the second and third rows folded, and the capability to tow up to 5,000 lbs. Additionally, the Kia EV9 achieves an EPA-estimated 304 miles of electric range on the Light Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) trim.
