Kia Creates Southwest Region Office
Recently, Kia Motors America (KMA) commemorated the grand opening of the company’s newest regional office in the Dallas metropolitan area. This is the company’s fifth regional office, joining locations in East Brunswick, NJ, Atlanta, GA, Downers Grove, IL, and Irvine, CA, in moving sales, marketing and training operations closer to the KMA’s almost 800 United States dealers.
Justin Sohn, Kia Motors America’s President and CEO, attended the celebration and was accompanied by principals from local dealers, as well as Southwest Region team members. The new office is headed by Scott Martin, an 11-year KMA veteran who was previously Regional Parts and Service Manager for the company’s Western Region office.
Michael Sprague, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Kia Motors America, stated in a press release, “The establishment of this new regional office allows us to focus further on elevating the customer experience and improving brand perception for all of Kia’s valued dealer partners.”

I am not happy that Archer Kia in Houston is charging an almost $8,000 markup on a loaded Tulleride. Sticker listed it at around $49,000, and after their markup and TTL, the final price came out close to $62,000. My wife and I were ready to purchase if it didn’t include that outrageous markup. Fredy Kia also has an almost $6,000 markup. We were ready to buy if it were not for the markup. I understand that every business is in the business to make money, but with the current inflation and everything Americans want costing more, markups may work against you in the long run. Please stop the business of outrageous markups. Thank you.
