Powertrain Availability

  • Drive Mode Select with Four Modes: Sport, Comfort, Eco, and Smart is standard on all Sorento trim levels. When Sorento is equipped with All-Wheel Drive (AWD), Snow Mode is added. A comparable feature is not available on Edge.
  • Sorento’s available 8-speed Dual-clutch Transmission (DCT) provides fast, seamless shifts. Edge offers a conventional automatic transmission only.
  • Sorento’s available 2.5L 4-cylinder GDI turbocharged engine produces 281 HP and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, compared with 250 HP and 275 lb.-ft. for the Edge’s standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine.

Greater Versatility, Comfort, and Convenience

  • Sorento has six USB ports on the LX and eight on all other trims; Edge offers two.
  • Sorento has an available customizable Supervision Instrument Panel with 12.3-in Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Color LCD Screen; Ford Edge does not offer this feature.
  • Sorento’s available 10.25-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) touch screen display with three-way split screen functionality makes it easier to navigate infotainment menus. All Edge trims come with an 8-inch touch screen.
  • The Sorento has available captain’s chairs for the second row; Ford Edge does not offer captain’s chairs.
  • Sorento provides seating for up to 7 people; Edge is limited to just 5. When not needed, Sorento’s back seats may be folded to provide additional cargo space.

  • Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors (ROA w/ US), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) with Lead Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) are standard on all Sorento trims; these are not available on any Edge trim.

  • 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Basic Warranty is standard on the All-New Sorento compared with the 3-year/36,000-mile coverage for Edge.
  • 10-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty is standard on the All-New Sorento compared with the 5-year/60,000-mile coverage for Edge.

Powertrain Availability

  • Sorento’s Torque-vectoring AWD system with Central Locking Differential is available on all trim levels. Blazer doesn’t offer AWD on its L and 1LT trims.
  • Sorento’s available 2.5L 4-cylinder GDI turbocharged engine produces 311 lb.-ft. of torque compared to Blazer’s available 3.6 V6 that produces 270 lb.-ft.
  • Sorento’s available 8-speed Dual-clutch Transmission (DCT) provides fast, seamless shifts. Blazer offers a conventional automatic transmission only.
